Ammachi
In response to Lam Chuan's Laminates project, I conceptualized and crafted Ammachi, a distinctive heirloom that transcends the limitations and challenges posed by laminates as a lasting material. Drawing inspiration from the profound notion that light has the power to dispel darkness, Ammachi is a levitating lamp intricately designed based on the principles of Tensegrity. This design philosophy involves isolating components in compression within a network of continuous tension. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Ammachi serves a deeper purpose — to symbolize the diverse cultural traditions of India and promote self-reflection for future generations. Functionally, the lamp serves as a tangible prompt for individuals to dedicate moments to introspection. By incorporating elements representing the individuality of each person, the design inspires a sense of self-empowerment regardless of one's geographical location. With Ammachi, the objective is to create an enduring object, a family heirloom that will be passed down through generations, fostering a connection to India's rich cultural heritage and serving as a timeless source of inspiration.
SOUL LIVES FOREVER
A project as a part of the Happy Urns competition organised by HappyUrns. Reinterpreting the urn as a symbol of celebration. Introducing "Soul Lives Forever," a deeply personal and innovative project born from the profound loss of a beloved Grandmom. Confronting the palpable absence upon returning home after two years of studies in Singapore, the project seeks to provide reassurance that her soul still resides among loved ones. The design transforms the conventional urn into a poignant blend of a plant pot and a wind chime. Harnessing the natural properties of ashes as manure, the pot encourages the growth of plants, symbolizing a sense of afterlife. As the wind chime resonates with the breeze, it becomes a moving tribute, offering a tangible connection to the departed soul. This piece allows for personalization, as the wind catcher can be engraved with a heartfelt message, creating a meaningful and enduring remembrance.
StACK IT
Stack It is designed for Husks Green International Pte Ltd a wholesaler in Singapore that aims at high-quality eco-friendly products and to set the industry's benchmark for eco products. Transforming rice husk that was once an agricultural waste into a highly desirable item for modern living. the project brief was to design a pet bowl and accessory.
SRANG
Embark on a journey to rediscover the grandeur of Ayutthaya with my innovative project, Srang. In a city where time has left only ruins, Srang is designed to recreate the majesty of the monumental Wat Watthanaram temple. Mirroring the quinx layout of the temple, my product features a central prang design engraved on the Jenga blocks, surrounded by chedis laser-cut onto the packaging. Ayutthaya's rich cultural tapestry, deeply woven into its lifestyle, art, and culinary traditions, finds expression in the iconic 'Prang' architecture that persists through history. By choosing Srang, I aim to bring awareness to Ayutthaya's architectural legacy, inspiring curiosity and enjoyment while engaging in a playful Jenga building experience. Just as "Srang" means "build" in Thai, let this prang Jenga construct a bridge between fun and cultural exploration, encouraging a deeper appreciation for Ayutthaya's timeless beauty.

Hues and Tricks, a vibrant and innovative twist on the traditional game of Congkak. Drawing inspiration from this classic pastime, I've infused Hues and Tricks with a captivating combination of a color wheel and command cards. The essence of the game lies in challenging players to strategically navigate controlled circumstances—where luck unveils the hues, and the skillful execution of tricks determines victory. Immerse in a world where chance and strategy converge, making each move a colorful and strategic journey. Hues and Tricks invites you to a dynamic gaming experience, merging tradition with a contemporary flair.
SLip TIP
Step into the realm of social connection with Tip Sip, a thoughtful response to the challenges of isolation in our ever-evolving world. In the midst of the pandemic-driven shift to virtual interactions, this design serves as a geometric and minimalist bridge to facilitate conversations during short evening breaks. Inspired by the distinctive touch of product designer Philippe Starck, particularly his exploration of alien features, Tip Sip is more than a cutlery set—it's a catalyst for meaningful conversations. Crafted from sleek black metal, this design beckons a return to the joy of sharing a cup of tea, reminding us that even in the new normal, the essence of human connection remains indispensable. JIAODU
Jiâodu, where design meets precision in the elegant world of door handles. Jiâodu, Mandarin for angular, embodies its theme with sharp sophistication. This unique handle marries the concepts of 'angular' and 'precise,' featuring straight lines and triangular shapes that pay homage to the timeless allure of art deco style. Crafted from jelutong wood, meticulously sanded, and adorned with a protective coat of bee wax, the door handle exudes a sense of sharpness without compromising on safety and smoothness. Elevate your space with Jiâodu—an embodiment of angular grace, precision, and the enduring beauty of art deco influence.
